Bodywork rehabilitates muscles through light and deep touch, energy and movement re-education. The emphasis is to bring balance back by concentrating on areas of imbalance around the person’s core. In this way it is possible to achieve long lasting benefits for the client along with a profound feeling of relaxation and well-being. Clients feel revitalized, stress levels are reduced, muscles begin to heal, and trapped energy is released. Essential oils, deep-tissue release, stone massage, cranial-sacral work and energy modalities are also used to achieve these goals. In my everyday practice I am seeing the increasing need to teach people slow down and breath deeply. It sounds simple but it is amazing how we forget to do this. In this fast paced over-achieving society we live in, the answer to stress is all too often found in un-healthy, un-natural ways. If we could learn from other cultures of the world one very important lesson, we should learn to take the time necessary to take care of our health and to make a priority the healing process of the body, mind and spirit. I am so thrilled to be a part of the increasing awareness of natural healing alternatives and the holistic health approach. I am inspired by and constantly strive to live in the spirit of the quote above.
